About jhffc

The Jackson Hole Free Flight Club is a community nonprofit organization that exists to represent, advocate for and regulate recreational free flight in Jackson Hole, including paragliding and hang gliding. Our goal as a growing club is to support our members and pilots to have the best flying experience we can provide here in the Tetons, home to some of the greatest sites in the western USA. We are lucky to have such wonderful flying in the valley, and look forward to cultivating a burgeoning, passionate group of pilots here by encouraging mentorship, best practices, and the sharing of local knowledge and lore.

We appreciate all types of pilots! JHFFC welcomes pilots of all wing type, race, color, religion, gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, national origin, disability, age, veteran status, and ability. Whether your perfect flight is a puckering commitment to send it over the back through tiger country, or a leisurely sunset soar in only the smoothest air, we encourage you to participate and join in celebrating our sport!

What we Do

JHFFC is 100% volunteer-run.

We write site guides and advocate for continued site access. Club officers act as the first point of contact for visiting pilots.

As our local novice pilot population grows, we strive to support their growth by offering weekly weather forecasts, ground school and mentorship during the summer season.
